Initial Meeting with Designer & Site Visit

The process begins with a one-on-one consultation, either online or in person, where we take the time to understand the space you want to transform, your lifestyle and the vision you have for the project. This initial conversation is crucial as it lays the foundation for a design direction tailored specifically to how you live and what matters most to you. We’ll discuss your needs, preferences and any challenges, ensuring that the design aligns with your unique vision and goals.

A site visit is an essential part of the interior design process. By visiting your space, we can better understand the layout, natural light and any spatial constraints, ensuring that our design proposal will be both practical and visually aligned. The site visit also helps us capture the true essence of the space, allowing us to refine our design ideas and make the most of your home’s potential.

The initial consultation and site visit can be done together, and both are free of charge. Any payments are only required if you decide to proceed with our services. If you’re not ready to commit to a full design project, we also offer a free 1-hour online design consultation to discuss your ideas and how we can help.

Frequently asked questions

What should I prepare for the initial consultation with an interior designer and the site visit?

It’s helpful to have an idea of your goals, preferences and any challenges you’ve encountered with the space. If you have any inspiration images or furniture pieces you love, bring photos along too. This helps us get a better understanding of your vision from the start.

Do I need to have a finalised interior design vision in mind before the initial meeting?

No, not at all! The purpose of the initial consultation is to explore your ideas and preferences. We’ll work together to shape a direction for the design and we’ll guide you through the process of creating a space that aligns with your needs and lifestyle.

How long does the initial interior design consultation and site visit take?

Typically, the initial consultation lasts about an hour, depending on the scope of your project. The site visit can also take up to an hour, depending on the size of the space and how many details we need to address.

What happens after the initial interior design meeting and site visit?

If you decide to proceed with our services, we’ll prepare a formal contract to outline the next steps. From there, we’ll begin crafting a detailed design proposal that reflects the ideas and vision we discussed during the consultation and site visit. This includes developing a design concept, selecting materials and creating detailed plans that will guide the project forward. Our goal is to ensure that every step of the process is aligned with your vision, from initial concept to final execution.

What is interior design site visit?

An interior design site visit is when the designer comes to your property to assess the space, take measurements, review existing conditions and discuss your needs in person. This visit helps us understand the space in detail, identify potential challenges and gather the information needed to create an accurate and tailored design. Site visits are also an opportunity to explore ideas together and answer any questions you may have about the process.
