Interior Styling

Interior styling is the final step in the design process that transforms a space into a home, making it feel uniquely yours. At 2105 Interiors, we understand that the right accessories, textiles and decor can elevate a space, adding depth, character and warmth. Styling goes beyond just furniture and layout - it’s about crafting an atmosphere that feels inviting, personal and true to your lifestyle.

Our approach to interior styling is both creative and intentional. We carefully select each piece to complement the design, focusing on statement items like artwork, lighting and furniture, as well as more subtle details like throw pillows, rugs and plants. Every item is chosen not just for its aesthetic appeal but for how it enhances the functionality and mood of the space. From selecting the perfect lighting to creating cozy reading corners, we ensure each piece serves both a visual and practical purpose.

Interior styling also involves balancing elements such as texture, colour and scale to create a harmonious environment. Whether you're aiming for a modern aesthetic or a more eclectic and layered look, our goal is to curate a cohesive and balanced style that feels effortless yet thoughtfully designed.

The final result is a home that’s not only beautiful but also inviting and functional, one that truly reflects your personality. Interior styling is the finishing touch that brings your design vision to life, creating a space that’s comfortable, stylish and truly yours.

Frequently asked questions

What is interior styling and why is it important?

Interior styling is the final touch that brings a design concept to life. It involves selecting and arranging accessories, textiles, artwork and decor to enhance the overall look, feel, and atmosphere of a space. Styling adds personality and depth to a home, ensuring it feels inviting and uniquely yours. While furniture and layout are important, interior styling ensures that every detail complements your lifestyle and the functionality of the space.

How long does the interior styling process take?

The duration of the interior styling process varies depending on the size and scope of the project. On average, it takes between 1 to 4 weeks to finalise the styling, including sourcing the right decor, arranging the space and making adjustments. We work efficiently to ensure that every detail is in place, giving your space the perfect finishing touches.

What is interior decorating?

Interior decorating - also known as interior styling - is the final stage of a full-scale interior design project. It focuses on enhancing the look and feel of a space through furnishings, accessories, colour schemes, textiles and decorative details. This stage is all about creating a cohesive, visually appealing atmosphere without making any structural changes. The aim is to reflect your personal style while ensuring the space feels comfortable, functional and inviting.

Can you help me style my home even if I've already done the majority of interior design work?

What's the difference between an interior designer and a decorator?

While both aim to create beautiful interiors, interior designers work on a deeper level - combining aesthetics with functionality and space planning. They produce technical drawings, select materials and oversee the full design process from concept to completion. Interior decorators focus mainly on the finishing touches, such as furniture, colours and accessories, without getting involved in structural or architectural changes. In short, a designer can also decorate, but a decorator does not typically design structural layouts.

Can I add my own interior design decor and accessories to the space during interior styling?

Yes! We love incorporating personal items and existing decor into our designs. Whether it’s heirlooms, artwork or treasured objects, our goal is to make your home feel uniquely yours. During the styling process, we work with you to integrate your personal pieces seamlessly with newly selected decor, ensuring a cohesive and balanced look that reflects your style.
